About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Officer to join a vibrant secondary school in the London Borough of Wandsworth commencing immediately. As part of our school's health and wellbeing team, the Medical Officer will play a key role in providing first aid and medical care to students and staff, promoting health and safety, and supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of our school community.Key Responsibilities:

Provide first aid and emergency medical treatment to students and staff as required.
Monitor and manage the care of students with ongoing medical needs (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc.).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records, ensuring confidentiality.
Liaise with parents, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the health and wellbeing of students.
Assist in the development and delivery of health-related education and initiatives in the school.
Maintain and regularly check first aid kits and medical supplies.
Work closely with the school's pastoral and safeguarding teams to support students with additional health or emotional needs.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

A valid First Aid at Work certificate is compulsory.
Previous experience in a medical or healthcare role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
A strong understanding of child safeguarding and health and safety policies.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
The ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
A caring and empathetic approach to supporting young people.
