MEP CAD Manager
Location: Central London
Salary: 80,000 - 90,000
The company:
This client has been in operation for over 20 years and has become one of the most reputed commercial office fit-out M&E contractors in London, turning over 35m last year. They have just been acquired by a new Managing Director who has strong aspirations to increase the turnover and has made strong headway in the first 6 months, having recently been appointed to projects for major main contractors. As a result they are currently looking for an MEP CAD manager to join their London office.
Responsibilities of the role:
As the MEP CAD Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, on-time CAD work from your division of designers and drafters. This will involve:
- Managing and coordinating all CAD-related activities and staff.
- Developing and implementing CAD standards and protocols for the department..
- Ensuring all projects are completed within set timelines.
- Train and mentor CAD staff to improve their design skills.
- Reviewing and approving all designs before they are sent to clients or production
- Coordinating with project managers and other team leaders to determine design needs.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Staying updated with latest CAD technology and industry trends.
The ideal candidate
- Will have proven work experience as an MEP CAD manager or similar role
- BSc degree in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field
- Strong knowledge and experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.
- Excellent project management skills
- Good understanding of drafting techniques and engineering terminologies
- Proficient in design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
- Ability and willingness to train and mentor staff
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
