Office 365 Messaging Engineer
6 Months
(Apply online only) per day (Inside IR35)
5 Days week on site in Central London

My client in the financial sector are looking for an Office 365 Messaging Engineer to join their fast-paced team on an initial 6 month contract.

***The ideal candidate must have experience working in the finance/banking sector***

Details about the role-
  • Microsoft Office 365 SME who will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and support of Microsoft Office 365 and related solutions.
  • Typical responsibilities for this SME will include Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online, SharePoint, Skype for Business Online, Teams, Planner, Azure AD, OneDrive, Microsoft Exchange Server (Apply online only) deployments and decommissions, Microsoft Identity management and Networking Infrastructure.
  • A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate proficiency with the design, implementation and support of Microsoft solutions and exhibit strong project management, change management, documentation and communication skills.
  • The position is based in the London office, but will be designing and delivering the migration for 1,800 users worldwide, working closely with existing Infrastructure teams in 3 regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office 365 Onboarding activities
  • Plan, Design, Implement and Migrate to Office 365 solutions to meet business needs and requirements
  • Technical discussions with executives that drive decisions and implementation.
  • Support and resolve deployment issues
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of the Office 365 services, and all required tools and products
  • Interact daily with global engineers to provide and share technical issue resolution knowledge and deployment best practices
  • Creation of technical governance documentation, such as Solution Outline and High Level Design as well as authoring Low Level Designs
  • At least 3 years of Technical experience working within the enterprise segment
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Exchange technologies to a design and configuration level, to support an in depth knowledge of architecting and migrating complex messaging environments
  • At least 3 years of experience with Office 365 technologies such as; Azure AD, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Pro Plus, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Intune
  • Demonstrable knowledge of migration best practices with multi forest directories and troubleshooting issues
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple platforms and systems.
  • Consultative approach to client engagements.
  • Strong understanding of designing to meet security principles and compliance
  • Ability to converse in the language of business owners and executives

Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Modern Workspace with Enterprise Mobility + Security stack including working knowledge of some of the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Azure for the Office 365 Tenant
  • Exchange Online
  • Identity Management (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, ADFS, Microsoft Identity Manager/FIM)
  • Intune design and configuration for MDM and BYOD
  • Intune design, configuration and deployment of Windows 10

Desirable Skills

  • A background in deploying modern technologies in the Financial Industry, with an appreciation for the associated regulatory and governance environment.
  • Ensure internal systems are managed to the highest standard by following industry best practice
  • Actively contribute to the development of existing and new IT process and procedures to enhance service transition and service operation lifecycle stages
  • Experience of working in a network heavily segregated by firewalls
  • Appreciation of networking and the understanding of firewalls rules
  • Blackberry Enterprise (UEM)
  • System Centre Configuration Manager,
  • Citrix Xen Desktop\Workspace
  • Understanding of building a product that will result in zero findings on a penetration test
  • ESX
  • Microsoft Azure
