Sonic Summary

We are seeking an experienced MFL Teacher to join our committed team at a Catholic school in Hillingdon, starting after the February 2025 half term.
The position requires a minimum of 3 days per week and offers a long-term or permanent contract on the Outer London MPS/UPS scale.
Candidates must possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have knowledge and teaching experience of the UK National Curriculum.
The school aims to inspire students to communicate effectively in French or Spanish while developing a strong cultural knowledge.
Salary will be based on the Outer London pay scale, commensurate with experience, which should include a proven track record in teaching MFL.

MFL Teacher

We are looking to appoint an energetic and hard working experienced MFL Teacher, who will work as part of a committed and friendly team. The school is located in Hillingdon borough, nearby Ickenham train station. We are looking for someone to start after February 2025 half term.

About the school

School has 8 forms of entry and a 6th Form. As a Catholic school, they serve the whole community of the Borough of Hillingdon and beyond, welcoming Catholic students and others who wish to join us. At both GCSE and A-Level a quarter of grades were awarded top grades. Despite the challenges of recent years, students performed exceptionally well which is a testament to their tenacity, hard work, and the commitment of their teachers.

The school vow to enable students to communicate effectively and confidently in speech and writing in either French or Spanish and to develop a strong cultural knowledge. MFL is an enthusiastic, passionate and creative department, always seeking new and innovative ways to make languages learning engaging and empowering. Qualifications and Person Specification

Teacher of MFL, preferably French and/or Spanish language
Excellent communication skills and ability to use ICT
Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Must have knowledge and teaching experience of the UK National Curriculum.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
