MLD Teacher

Timeplan Education is recruiting a Qualified Teacher to join a lovely primary and secondary PMLD school in Hillingdon from January 2025. The The role will be on a full-time basis until the end the academic year. The successful candidate will be teaching a KS3 MLD (mild learning difficulties)class as well as a number of English and PSHE lessons to other year groups. Medium term planning will be provided but you will be in charge of lesson preparation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comfortable leading interactive lessons
  • Responsible for teaching children with MLD, PMLD, ASD, ADHD and GDD
  • Ability to engage and support pupils' learning
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with pupils
  • To promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities and maximise their achievement
  • Strong behaviour management

Job Requirements

  • QTS
  • Experience teaching in SEN schools
  • Experience working with children with MLD, PMLD, ASD
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks
