Multiskilled Static Engineer

Mon - Fri (8-17)

KEY TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
  • To arrange and plan sub-contractors PPM visits to ensure they meet the requirements of the scheduled works.
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
  • To develop a good working relationship with all members of the staff, subcontractors, and the client representatives.
  • Ensure the Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g., IBMS etc. is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive jobs are closed out with accurate data captured by use of on-site computer/tablet.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
  • Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Reporting to the Contract Manager
  • Working collaboratively as part of the team.

EDUCATION

  • A good basic education is essential.
  • recognised qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC engineering

TRAINING

DESIRABLE

  • HVAC training
  • NVQ In Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Formal health and safety training.
  • Permit Training

EXPERIENCE

  • Comprehensive maintenance experience.
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
  • Experience in Leading a team and owning full responsibilities on a portfolio of sites.
  • Experience Working on a client resident site and mobile support.

APTITUDES

  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Good basic written English skills
  • Good IT skills for the purposes of sending regular reports.
