We have a brilliant opportunity for a Night Shift Engineer to work for a fantastic client based in East London, offering a generous salary and package benefits including pension schemes of up to 12%, private health and dental care and more! You will be joining a long standing client on a state of the art commercial property.This is a static role, following a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, night shift only.In this role, you will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, liaise with subcontractors, carry out general building services and ensure all logbooks / site documents are updated on a regular basis.To be successful for this role, you must be fully qualified in Electrical Installations / Engineering, at least 3 years experience in commercial maintenance, work well individually and as part of a team and live in commutable distance to Canary Wharf.Night Shift Engineer Duties:

  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Reports
  • Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.
  • Permits to work
  • Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Night Shift Engineer Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in either Electrical Installations or Electrical Engineering + regulations qualification
  • At least 3 years experience in commercial maintenance
  • Live in commutable distance to Canary Wharf
  • Work well as part of a team and individually
  • Client facing attitude
  • Experience as a Night Shift Engineer would be desirable
