Early years Nursery Practitioner and Room Manager/Leader

Options for the successful candidate to work with any age group based on experience and preference, the room lead role would be working within our 2 year old room.

Level 2 or 3 qualified Nursery Early years practitioner:Full or part time working 2,3,4 or 5 days per week.

We are currently recruiting for a Room leader and Nursery Practitioners for our beautiful, nursery and preschool in the heart of Wimbledon with great transport links.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Early years Practitioner:

- Level 2 or 3 qualification required:

  • Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children's needs.
  • Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
  • Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
  • Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

Duties/requirements of the Room Leader/Manager:

  • The Room Manager must hold a full and relevant level 3 or above qualification in childcare
  • Will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the 2 year old room.
  • Will be caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating learning environment.
  • Supervising staff
  • Implementing new ideas and continually improve practice and support the management team in the nursery.

The ideal candidate will;

  • Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
  • Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
  • Be qualified to NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent in childcare. (level 3 or higher for Lead roles)
  • Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stages
