We are currently for a skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader / Manager to be based in our Sydenham Nursery. The nursery offers state-of-the-art facilities, combining bright and spacious indoor rooms along with fabulous outdoor areas.You can earn up to £28,500.00 per annum working Full time (40 hours per week) – 4 days a week or 5 days at 8.30am to 5.30pm.
To be considered for the Nursery Room Leader / Room Manager role you must have:
- At least 1 years’ experience in a Nursery Room Leader role or equivalent
- Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years childcare
- Excellent knowledge & understanding of the EYFS & Statutory framework
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Your passion to be shown in your day-to-day interaction with children

- Â Ensuring the nursery offers an environment which reflects the cultural diversity of all children.
-  Monitoring the quality and completion of children’s developmental and observation records.
- Â Reflect on daily practise and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Â Ensure that settling-in and transitions are well managed for all children including ensuring they are
- communicated to parents, carers and colleagues effectively.
- ï‚· Promote effective partnerships with parents.
- ï‚· To be the key person for a designated group of children.
Leadership
- Â Ensure that the team is clear on the expectations, goals and responsibilities of their role.
- Â Continually motivate and develop staff team within the nursery through effective role modelling and
- promote and initiate ideas to maintain employee engagement.
- Â To act as a mentor, carrying out effective employee induction and staff supervisions in line with Company Policy.
- Â Identifying training needs and support practitioners to upskill.
- Â Effectively managing staff conduct and performance.
Health & Safety
- Â Respond to, and report health and safety issues as and when they arise.
- Â Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness/tidiness within the nursery
- Â Carrying out health and safety checks in line with Company Policy.
- Â Ensure control measures detailed within Company Risk Assessments and understood and followed.
- Â Monitor accident and incident records, reporting any concerns to Management.
- General
-  Responsible for duties associated with the nursery playroom(s), such as maintaining children’s records and any other duties as reasonably requested.
- Â Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
