We are currently looking for a Room Leader to work as part of the management team. You'll provide professional leadership to all staff members and maintain the highest standards of care and education.

Flexible workingwith the option to work:

  • 40 hours across five days
  • 40 hours across four days

What will you be doing:

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery key carer procedures and allocate children to key carers.
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child.
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers

What we are looking for -

  • Level 2 or 3 Diploma for Childcare (or equivalent qualification) or
  • Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently
