Operations & Delivery Manager, FMCG
£40,000 - £50,000, London
A dynamic and fast-moving consumer product brand is looking for an Operations & Delivery Manager to join their team. In this role you will project manage the accurate delivery of all high-volume orders for the brands major retail customers. You will also optimise margin and speed of delivery by driving operational excellence, proactively identifying problems and streamlining efficiencies.

You will be responsible for:

Ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery for all retail customer orders

Driving operational excellence within your area, identifying areas for improvement and maximising efficiencies

Working closely with DCs & 3PLs, setting KPIs and ensuring OTIF delivery

Managing and tracking all live projects from initial pitch through to end delivery, ensuring all agreed timelines are met

Enhancing sales margins through value engineering across the entire end-to-end process, from project commencement to final delivery

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders including internal teams, factories, retailers, and warehouses

Managing and mentoring the Delivery team
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills:

Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, delivering to major UK retailers

Good knowledge of project management and/or continuous improvement methodologies

Good working knowledge of FOB and ex-works delivery

Line management or team leadership experience
-
Experience of moving stock to and from global factories and warehouse locations

Background working with large volumes and at pace
-
Excellent relationship builder both internally and externally
