An exciting opportunity has arisen to join my client as a PA to Headteacher.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time +2)

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Headteacher’s diary, organising meetings, maintaining office systems, and assisting with administration.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive PA support to the Headteacher and other members of SLT as required, managing diaries and coordinating meetings
  • Draft and manage communications including memos, emails, and reports
  • Take minutes at leadership and governance meetings, ensuring timely distribution
  • Manage office systems, including data management and filing
  • Support the reception and front-line office when needed
  • Oversee the school’s external communications (website, social media)
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Organise hospitality for meetings and event

Candidates should have:

  • Previous experience as a PA, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to staff, parents, students, and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with SIMS is desirable
  • A proactive, professional, and flexible approach to work
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • good organisational and secretarial skills as well as a person who can show discretion and work in a flexible manner.
