PFI Hand-back Manager - Homeworking contract with some travel to projects

Our client is an investor looking for a PFI hand back manager to oversee the entire transition process as the PFI contracts come to a close and the asset is returned to the relevant organisation.
Main responsibilities are:
- Leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of PFI expiry projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Monitoring project progress and providing regular status reports to senior management, highlighting key accomplishments, challenges, and potential solutions.
- Efficiently managing budgets, resources, and timelines to meet project objectives while optimizing asset utilization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, operations, and external partners, to create and execute a comprehensive project plan with a strong commercial focus.
- Assessing the terms and conditions of PFI agreements to ensure contractual compliance, safeguarding a smooth transition.
- Identifying and addressing potential commercial risks and obstacles related to the PFI expiry, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Developing effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and internal teams, well-informed throughout the project lifecycle, particularly regarding commercial considerations.
- Coordinating the collection and submission of all necessary documentation required for the PFI contract conclusion, with a keen eye on commercial details.
Essential experience and skills:
- A comprehensive understanding of Public-Private Partnership/PFI contracts, their terms, and associated legal and compliance requirements, with a particular emphasis on the commercial aspects.
- Extensive project management experience, particularly in managing complex projects within the context of Public-Private Partnership/PFI contracts.
- A BSc (Hons) Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or extensive relevant experience.
- A strong understanding of commercial contract management, compliance, and legal considerations related to Public-Private Partnership/PFI contracts.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems, make informed commercial decisions, and develop strategic solutions.
