Policy and Public Affairs Manager

London

Role:

  • Provide strategic advice on all aspects of the organisation's policy, public affairs and stakeholder engagement activity
  • Lead on developing relationships with parliamentarians, leveraging the opportunities presented by ongoing political events
  • Develop and draft submissions to Government and other stakeholder consultations or calls for evidence as required
  • Carrying out research to support public affairs and media messaging, for example, member surveys or opinion polls
  • Support the management team to engage in policy discussions with external stakeholders as appropriate
  • Responsible for parliamentary monitoring service, reporting on the Organisation's public affairs activity, and identifying opportunities to push the Organisation's policy position

  • Strong working background of delivering public affairs activities aimed at changing legislation or public policy
  • Experience of working in a policy driven environment
  • Demonstrable experience of writing impactful copy, comment pieces, quotes, policy reports and parliamentary briefings
  • Ability and willingness to work at both a strategic and operational level
