Principal Acoustic Consultant

My client is a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in environmental and health and safety services with a strong focus on sustainable development. With over 30 years of industry experience, they are trusted by clients across various sectors for delivering tailored solutions to complex environmental health and safety challenges.

Requirements:

  • Ability to nurture technical growth of teams through effective management
  • Comprehensive expertise in Environmental Acoustics
  • Degree in Acoustics or a related technical discipline (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering) and membership in MIOA/FIOA
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager, including responsibilities such as budgeting, client proposals, scheduling, and report writing
  • Proficiency in project and people management
  • Proven track record in successful business development
  • Substantial experience in acoustic consultancy at a principal level

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing inquiries and formulating proposals
  • Cultivate relationships within the acoustics sector to drive business growth
  • Lead a team to ensure timely delivery of all project deliverables
  • Oversee projects of varying scales as the project manager
  • Provide technical leadership and supervise project delivery
  • Supervise support team operations, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and personal development plans
