Principal Investigator

Islington

450 per day (umbrella) - negotiable

Full Time Contract (3 Months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Principal Investigator in Islington. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

  • To assist the Head of Internal Audit (HIA) and the Audit Manager Investigations (AMI) to implement the organisation's Anti-Fraud Strategy and Whistleblowing Policy
  • To undertake reactive investigations promptly and to a high standard, including complex, cross-cutting investigations.
  • Investigate whistleblowing investigations, including complex whistleblowing investigations with multiple disclosures
  • To exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times while delivering proactive and reactive investigations

The candidate:

  • An Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS) qualification or equivalent (i.e. PIP level 2) or a proven track record of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrable knowledge of relevant investigative methods, legislation and processes
  • Ability to plan and deliver investigations from end to end and produce high quality outputs
  • Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of the principles of investigation, PACE, CPIA, Fraud Act, RIPA, Theft Acts, Social Security Acts Identity Documents Act and statutes concerning the range of offences committed and relevant Regulations pertaining to Housing Benefit and CTRS
