Are you a confident and outgoing Project Designer with a passion for creating bespoke furniture solutions? Do you thrive in customer-facing roles, enjoy building relationships, and love attending client meetings, industry events, and shows? We're looking for a proactive, hands-on Project Designer to join our team, working from our stunning Central London showroom, 5 days a week.

About the Role
As a Customer-Facing Project Designer, you'll be responsible for designing bespoke furniture for commercial interiors, with a key focus on developing tailored solutions for clients. You'll also be heavily involved in business development, identifying new opportunities, and fostering relationships with both new and existing clients.

In this role, you'll oversee projects from initial concept meetings, design development, and site surveys, all the way through to production and final installation. A large part of the role will involve meeting clients, presenting ideas, and ensuring their needs are met through innovative and functional design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to develop bespoke furniture solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, industry events, and shows to build and maintain relationships.
  • Manage projects from initial concept through to final installation, including design, site surveys, and production oversight.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities, setting up and leading meetings with potential clients.
  • Work closely with the wider team to manage showroom visits and product presentations.

About You:

  • Proven experience in customer-facing design, business development, or sales, preferably in the bespoke kitchen or furniture industry.
  • Outgoing, confident, and sociable—able to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • Experience managing projects from concept to completion, including client interactions and site surveys.
  • Enthusiastic, with the ability to take ownership of your projects and work as part of a collaborative team.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with design software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of furniture construction, materials (e.g., timber, veneers, MFC, solid surfaces), and manufacturing processes.
  • Great presentation skills, with the ability to confidently lead client discussions.
  • A degree in design is preferred but not essential if you have proven industry experience.

If you're passionate about design, love working directly with clients, and are excited by the opportunity to contribute to both creative and business development aspects of the role, we want to hear from you!
