Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the charity's influencing strategy in regards to key policy areas
- Work with ministers, MPs and civil servants effectively to ensure opportunities to maximise influence
- Track and monitor policy developments
- Attend APPGs, select committees and roundtables in parliament
- Produce high-quality policy briefings, reports and consultation responses
- Build relationships with key external stakeholders, including government departments and other not-for-profit organisations
- Work collaboratively with other teams within the charity

Essential:
- Ability to produce high quality, evidence based internal and external briefing materials under time constraints
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall
- Line-management experience
- Experience developing influencing strategies and public affairs campaigns
