Public Affairs Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with UK Parliamentarians whilst identifying opportunities to engage with Ministers MPs and Civil Servants.
- Lead the monitoring of UK parliamentary and political landscape keeping the team informed of relevant developments and engagement opportunities.
- Support in the drafting of political briefings on key policy areas.
- Lead engagement on behalf of the charity in a range of coalitions, networks and other organisations.
- Contribute to the charity's campaigning activities.

Public Affairs Officer

Essential:
- Excellent working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to draft important documents, reports and briefings
- Ability to translate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and a willingness to help other teams when required.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, managing occasional heavy workloads and excellent time-keeping.
- Demonstrable Public Affairs experience ideally from within the Charity sector
