Red Hat OpenShift Developer
CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading Financial Services organisation to appoint a seasoned Red Hat OpenShift Engineer for an initial 6-month contract, with likely long-term extension.
The Red Hat OpenShift Engineer will develop, modernise and deploy applications at scale within the cloud-based Kubernetes platform.
This role can be (primarily) performed remotely, though applicants must be based in the UK and hold valid UK right-to-work.
Role Requirements
* Design, develop and deploy applications in a containerised environment using Red Hat OpenShift & Kubernetes
* Manage and configure OpenShift clusters
* Ensure high performance, security and scalability of OpenShift clusters
* Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab and/or Ansible
* Developer and support microservices architectures
* Optimise application performance utilising best practices and strategies
* Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues where required
* Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure and software development teams where appropriate
* Document technical processes, system logs and playbooks
* Ensure adhere to strict security and compliance frameworks/guidelines
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong, demonstrable technical proficiencies in:
o OpenShift (v3/4)
o Kubernetes
o Docker & Containerisation
o CI/CD Pipeline Development
o API Integrations
o Jenkins
o Cluster Management
o AMQ Broker (desirable)
* Red Hat certification (e.g. RHCSA, RHCE or RHACM)
* Financial Services experience (desirable)
* Team player, possessing excellent stakeholder communication and management skills
