Job Role: Resettlement Worker

About the Role:
Are you passionate about helping individuals secure stable, independent housing? We are seeking a dedicated PRS Access and Resettlement Worker to join a vital service in Lambeth, supporting clients to access independent accommodation in the private rented sector.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a caseload of 25-30 clients, providing tenancy-related support to help them move into private rented sector housing.
- Conduct thorough assessments, co-produce housing plans, and deliver strengths-based support with clear, goal-oriented objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords and letting agents to source suitable accommodation.
- Ensure properties comply with health, safety, and building regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with housing legislation, welfare reforms, and other areas impacting clients.
- Assist clients with property viewings, tenancy sign-ups, and settling into their new homes.
- Advocate for both landlords and clients to resolve tenancy-related issues.
About You:
We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, highly organized, and knowledgeable about housing and welfare legislation. You should have experience in:
- Building and maintaining relationships with landlords, letting agents, or housing providers.
- Delivering structured, time-limited interventions to relieve or prevent homelessness.
- Advising on welfare benefits, housing law, and tenancy sustainment.
- Working in partnership with external agencies to improve outcomes for clients.
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- A good level of numeracy, literacy, and comprehension.
