Risk & Compliance ManagerNational Law firmUp to £70,000Permanent2 days office basedCrone Corkill is working on a rare opportunity for a driven Risk and Compliance expert to join the internal team of a well-established London Law firm in their central London office on a full-time office.Renowned for its values-based approach & global reach advising on matters across the Financial, Property, Employment, and Media industries, this firm is committed to offering a high standard to its clientele whilst staying at the forefront of digital advances. Offering hybrid working and career progression across departments. The firm places emphasis on a supportive culture which is evident in the long tenure of the team.Reporting to the Head of the department you will work in a high preforming team of eight.Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the central onboarding process and deliver services aligned with the firm's strategic priorities and proactively make improvements to the gatekeeping function.
  • Line management of the central onboarding team.
  • Allocate and delegate work across the team to ensure both the client and matter onboarding process is upheld to a high standard
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks
  • Draft escalation reports in accordance with the firm's policies.
  • Overseeing the shared compliance inbox and ensure that requests are actioned in line with companies SLAs
  • Assist the MLRO in dealing with compliance queries.
  • Maintain and monitor Central Registers and provide regular management information reports to the Head of Compliance
  • Deliver training and support to the central onboarding team, provide guidance to the legal teams and other business support teams on internal processes and procedures.
  • Manage third party accounts
  • Administer regular compliance events
  • Coordinate projects and assist the HoC in managing cross functional improvements within the business.

About You

  • Minimum of 4 years in a management position within the field of Risk & Compliance
  • Previous experience in the Legal sector
  • An energetic & detail-oriented approach to commercial challenges
  • Proven qualifications in Compliance and AML
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt this to different stakeholders and parties involved to maintain positive working relationships
