My client is seeking an experienced Officer who is experienced in assessing and supporting rough sleeping clients into supported accommodation. The Navigator will be responsible for finding suitable accommodation for vulnerable clients, e.g. with mental health issues. Must be a resilient individual who is confident with managing own caseload.

The Navigator will carry out personalised housing plans (PHP) to ensure homeless clients needs are supported. The client understands the pressures of the role and is keen to support Officers into the role. Strong Homeless support working knowledge able to support vulnerable clients. The Officer will be able to join the team and hit the ground running.

Duties Includes:

  • Work directly with rough sleepers and navigate them to emergency accommodation
  • Experience carrying out comprehensive assessments to ensure clients support needs are met
  • Finding a suitable settled accommodation solution supporting clients.
  • Develop strong relationship with 10 clients at one time, being a main point of contact for support and advice
  • Carrying out Street counts to keep up to date with number of homeless clients on the streets.
  • Work closely with external agencies such as St Mungos to place rough sleepers into accommodation
  • Second Language speaking (Hungarian, Russian, Polish, Lithuanian, Romanian)- essential.
