Our client is currently seeking a meticulous and highly organised Royalties Assistant to join their dynamic team in a well-established publishing company. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and exciting environment, supporting the efficient and accurate processing of royalties and providing exceptional service to authors and agents.Key Responsibilities:
  • Reading author contracts to extract royalty data, including advances, and inputting this data accurately into the Royalty and Finance Systems.
  • Ensuring sensitive details, such as banking, address, and tax information, are processed and recorded correctly within accounting systems.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to external queries from authors, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and actioning royalty exception reports on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Critical
  • Accurate and thorough data entry/keying in skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise emails
  • Professional phone manner when speaking with agents and authors
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines
  • Highly numerate with good Excel skills
Desirable
  • Experience with royalties and sub-rights
  • Familiarity with KEA and Biblio systems
