- Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy of royalty rules, advances, cumulative sales, opening balances, and retentions during the migration process.
- Discrepancy Analysis: Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty calculations and understand the root cause.
- Data Cleansing: Address any data cleansing issues, whether in live systems or imports.
- Functional Testing: Support end-to-end testing of the migration process.
- Project Support: Work alongside the Royalty Migration Manager and project team to ensure successful migration.
- Reporting: Communicate data accuracy processes and controls to senior managers.
- Strong numeracy and a passion for working with complex calculations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
- Experience in royalties, especially within trade or academic publishing.
- Familiarity with royalty systems such as Biblio and Vista KEA.
- Experience with data processing tools like Microsoft Excel and Power Query.
- Knowledge of author contracts and understanding of withholding tax and VAT rules.
- Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home (or fully office-based if preferred).
