Our client, a leading publishing company, is seeking a meticulous and highly organised Royalty Migration Analyst to join their team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment, ensuring the accurate processing of royalties while providing excellent support to authors and agents.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy of royalty rules, advances, cumulative sales, opening balances, and retentions during the migration process.
  • Discrepancy Analysis: Identify and resolve discrepancies in royalty calculations and understand the root cause.
  • Data Cleansing: Address any data cleansing issues, whether in live systems or imports.
  • Functional Testing: Support end-to-end testing of the migration process.
  • Project Support: Work alongside the Royalty Migration Manager and project team to ensure successful migration.
  • Reporting: Communicate data accuracy processes and controls to senior managers.
  Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong numeracy and a passion for working with complex calculations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
  Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in royalties, especially within trade or academic publishing.
  • Familiarity with royalty systems such as Biblio and Vista KEA.
  • Experience with data processing tools like Microsoft Excel and Power Query.
  • Knowledge of author contracts and understanding of withholding tax and VAT rules.
  Additional Benefits:
  • Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home (or fully office-based if preferred).
