If you are an experienced Salesforce Release Manager with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of Salesforce deployments we have a new contract we would like to discuss with you. With knowledge of agile methodologies, processes and frameworks, the Release Manager will play a critical role in the planning, development, and execution of the release plan along with the DevSecOps Architect

Please note this role is inside IR35 and will require onsite attendance in either London, Glasgow or Cardiff once a week.

Job Responsibilities:

- Release Planning and Coordination:

- Plan, schedule, and manage Salesforce release activities across various environments, including development, testing, and production.

- Collaborate with all members of CoE, CRM Tech Lead, CRM Product Owner, Salesforce developers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful releases.

- Maintain and manage the Salesforce release calendar.

Release Execution:

- Execute Salesforce releases, including metadata and data migrations, code deployments, and configuration changes.

- Coordinate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and validation of Salesforce changes.

- Monitor and troubleshoot release-related issues, ensuring quick resolution.

Change Management:

- Manage change requests and ensure that all changes are properly documented and approved before deployment.

- Implement change control processes to ensure the stability and integrity of the Salesforce environment.

Testing:

- Ensure regression testing is conducted in a sandbox before releasing the product.

Documentation;

- Manage documentation related to changes made with each product release.

Post-deployment:

- Support post-deployment activities, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and application bug fixes.

Compliance:

- Ensure that Salesforce releases comply with all relevant regulations, including data security, regulatory standards, and audit trails.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Salesforce objects, workflows, validation rules, and Apex code.

- Experience with Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Azure DevOps (Preferred), Azure Pipelines (Preferred), Azure Repos (Preferred), SonarQube, Azure Test Plans (Preferred), Gearset, Salesforce DX, Change Sets, ANT Migration Tool).

- Experience with Branching Strategy tools (e.g., Github, Bitbucket)

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for Salesforce.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
