Our client provide high quality lighting, audio, video and scenic solutions to the live events industry.

They deliver bespoke production solutions to a wide range of prestige live events across the UK & Europe. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the team based in North London/ Hertfordshire as a Scenic Draughtsperson.

You will support the Scenic Project Management team with the estimation & costing of material requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 2D & 3D draughting using AutoCAD or a similar product. You must have some experience of carpentry construction methods and a good working knowledge of resistant materials including timber, metal, plastics & fabrics.

You must be enthusiastic, eloquent, organised and highly computer literate. Our work can be fast paced so you must be comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines. Due to the nature of the live events industry, working hours will be flexible and may include occasional evening and weekend work. Responsibilities:

? Ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, leveraging company resources to ensure we continually exceed client expectations

? Liaise with Project Management team to understand project requirements, briefs & deadlines

? Interpret project briefs and translate them into 2D/3D technical & construction drawings using AutoCAD

? Advise on construction techniques & finishes to solve specific challenges

? Assist with the creation of quotations by specifying material & parts requirements using our Rental Management software

? Research materials and parts to solve specific challenges

? Produce component drawings for CNC & laser cutting

? Attend site surveys & client meetings as required to develop projects collaboratively

? Liaise with internal & external stakeholders in a timely fashion as the project develops

? Keep drawings & specifications up to date as the project develops

? Adopt a creative approach to problem solving and adapt & react to changing circumstances at speed

? Act as an ambassador for the business at all times
