School Administrator - Hackney
An Ofsted rated 'Good' school in the borough of hackney are seeking to appoint a full-time admin assistant. The school has a strong sense of community and inclusivity based on living out the vales of Catholic social teaching.
Responsibilities
- Office and Communication Management: Handle general administrative tasks like answering phones, managing emails, and maintaining school records. Serve as a point of contact for students, parents, and staff, and assist with school communications such as newsletters and notices.
- Student Enrolment and Attendance: Assist with the enrolment process, update student records, and track attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Scheduling and Event Coordination: Manage school calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate class schedules, and organise events like parent-teacher conferences, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Financial and Supply Management: Assist with budget tracking, process invoices, order supplies, and maintain inventory for classrooms and offices.
- Support for Leadership and Staff: Provide administrative support to school leaders, prepare reports and materials for meetings, and assist teachers with day-to-day clerical tasks.
Required skills and responsibilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with staff, parents, and students
- Proficiency in IT and office software (e.g., Word, Excel) and school management systems.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-service orientation.
