The Role

As our SEN School Administrator, you will:

  • Support SEN Coordination: Assist the SENCO with maintaining accurate records, scheduling meetings, and preparing documentation for EHCP reviews.
  • Administrative Excellence: Manage daily office tasks, including updating student records, handling correspondence, and organizing timetables.
  • Communication Hub: Act as the first point of contact for parents, carers, and external agencies, ensuring clear and compassionate communication.
  • Data Management: Maintain the SEN register and support the compilation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize training sessions, workshops, and meetings for staff and parents.
About You

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in administration, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A strong understanding of SEN and the challenges faced by students and families.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and school management software (experience with SIMS is a plus).
  • A proactive and empathetic approach to problem-solving.
