Are you a qualified medical professional passionate about student health and well-being? Join our team as a School Medical Officer in South London, and support student care, manage medical records, provide first aid, and ensure health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for first aid and oversee all related matters.
  • Manage the register of qualified first aiders and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Administer student medication and care as outlined in individual health plans.
  • Coordinate student medical exams, assessments, and inoculations.
  • Advise and train staff on medical procedures in the absence of a nurse.
  • Promote health education in collaboration with staff and the Health Authority.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical procedures and manage first aid supplies.
  • Liaise with parents and medical professionals to meet student health needs.
  • Ensure confidentiality of medical information and compliance with Child Protection Procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality service.
  • Experience with a variety of general administrative tasks.
  • Strong ICT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and management information systems.
  • Experience working with children aged 11-19.
  • A good standard of general education, including literacy and numeracy.
