We are currently recruiting for an outstanding, specialist SEND College who are dedicated to providing exceptional education to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Students have a wide range of needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and complex needs.

The College are looking for a passionate, experienced, and dynamic SEND Lecturer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an SEND Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering tailored learning programs to students with PMLD, ASD, and other complex needs. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them achieve their individual learning goals and build confidence in their abilities. All students are individual, and their learning programme is designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst also gaining life skills so that they can gain employment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to students with PMLD, ASD, and complex needs, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Develop and implement individual learning plans, in collaboration with the SEND team, to support each student's unique needs.
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Work closely with other staff members, including teaching assistants and therapy professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Keep up-to-date with current SEND best practices and contribute to the continuous development of the SEND department.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or QTLS)
- Experience working with students with PMLD, ASD, and/or complex needs
- Knowledge of SEND strategies, frameworks, and current practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit individual learning requirements
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies

Desirable Skills:
- Outstanding/Good teaching experience with students with special educational needs.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and alternative communication methods
- A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Autism
