A growing Designated Specialist Provision within a primary school in Greenwich are looking for a qualified and experienced SEND Teacher to join their school on a full-time basis with an immediate start.

The Role

In this SEND Teacher role you will be the main class teacher for a class of 5 children within the DSP. All pupils in the class have diagnosed Autism and vary in their communication ability and learning needs. The class follow a sensory curriculum and you will be required to teach engage children in a range of learning and development activities. You will work alongside an experienced team of teachers and support staff within the provision and you will have access to a range of training and collaboration to develop your teaching practice. You will also be supported by external agencies within Greenwich.

This Designated Specialist Provision opened 3 years ago and is part of a popular and successful schools partnership in Greenwich. There is a dedicated and experienced teaching and leadership team in place and all staff are encouraged and supported to access training and development opportunities. The school is accessible via public transport and via car with parking available.

• Qualified Teacher Status• Experience teaching young people with SEND• A comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children with Autism• Experience in all or some of the following: Attention Autism, TEACCH, Makaton, Pecs
