SEND Teacher | Temp - Perm | Primary School

An outstanding SEND school based in Forest Hill, South East London, is looking for a SEND teacher to join their dedicated and experienced team on a long term to permanent basis in February 2025.

The successful SEND Teacher will join a supportive and flourishing team. You will be delivering lessons to allow students to excel academically. As a SEND Teacher you will be composing a stimulating lesson and marking. The role will include working closely with expert support staff, as well as building relationships with parents, governors and the wider community.

Location: SE23, Forest Hill

Contract: Full Time (Ongoing)

Pay: £200-£230 Per Day (PAYE or Umbrella)

Job Description

The school is a mixed school catering for pupils aged between 4-11 years old with Autism. Most pupils also have Autism, SLD, and additional physical and sensory disabilities.

The ideal SEND teacher will be a dedicated and creative educator with demonstrable SEND knowledge, Primary school teachers with a passion for SEND are welcome to apply.

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Must have a QTS
  • Demonstrable knowledge of and a passion for SEND
  • Makaton and PECS - not essential but highly desirable
  • Experience working with Complex Needs and ASD

Additional requirements:

  • References confirming suitability for the role
  • Commitment to Safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
