Key Responsibilities

As a Senior/Associate Rights of Light Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert advice to high-profile clients on a range of projects, including some of the most iconic developments in the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking detailed rights of light analyses using specialist software.
  • Advising clients on daylight, sunlight, overshadowing, and related planning issues.
  • Providing strategic input into project development to ensure client goals are met.
  • Liaising with architects, planners, developers, and legal professionals to provide robust, commercially focused advice.
  • Supporting the growth of the team by mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in rights of light, daylight & sunlight, or a related specialist discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with rights of light software tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse client base.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS, CIAT) are advantageous but not essential.
