My client is looking for an experienced solicitor to join their commercial property team. You will play a crucial role in leading and developing the practice, supporting junior associates & trainees and working on a wide range of property matters.

The firm

The teams work in an open plan office in Holborn, and have a focus on maintaining a friendly, energetic, and collaborative culture. They’re a down to earth bunch of solicitors that genuinely come into the office, do their job and have a good laugh. There is no red tape in terms of promotions, if you work hard, you will be rewarded. This also offers a real opportunity to become a leading person in the firm, as a few of their managing partners will be stepping back to retire in the next few years.

The role

You will be acting for repeat landlords, developers, traders, property businesses etc. across a wide range of matters such as;

  • Commercial and residential investment
  • Portfolio acquisition and trading
  • Secured lending
  • Landlord & tenant issues
  • Owner-occupier acquisitions/leases
  • Site assembly & development
  • Joint ventures
  • Planning
  • Cross border acquisitions
  • SPV transactions
  • Finance & refinance
  • Retail leasing
  • Hotel acquisitions and disposals
  • Sale & lease-back
  • Leasehold enfranchisement

Requirements

  • Solicitor with significant experience in commercial property law – 6+PQE
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team of junior solicitors/trainees
  • Experience handling complex property matters and providing sound legal advice
  • You must be able to take the lead on business development initiatives
  • Having a partial client following is desirable
  • Excellent client relationship skills
