RMRecruit Ltd is working in partnership with our Lambeth based Housing client who are on the lookout for a Senior Leasehold Officer for a period of 18 months.

As a Senior Leasehold Officer, you will manage and oversee all aspects of leasehold management, ensuring compliance with legislation and delivering excellent customer service to leaseholders. You will act as a key point of contact for leaseholders, managing complex cases and supporting the leasehold team in achieving operational excellence.

Main duties include:

  • Manage a portfolio of leasehold properties, ensuring compliance with leases and relevant legislation.
  • Oversee lease extensions, enfranchisement, and variation processes.Respond to and resolve leaseholder queries, complaints, and disputes effectively.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and issuance of service charges.
  • Review and monitor service charge budgets, reconciling accounts and addressing discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance and support to leaseholders regarding service charges and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with all leasehold and landlord-tenant legislation, including Section 20 consultations.
  • Keep up to date with legislative changes and best practices in leasehold management.
  • Assist in preparing reports for board meetings and senior management.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leaseholders and other stakeholders.
  • Organise and participate in leaseholder meetings and forums
  • Maintain accurate records in the housing management system.
  • Prepare regular reports on leasehold performance andKPIs.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess provenexperience in leasehold management within a housing association or similar setting. Furthermore,you will have sstrong knowledge of leasehold and landlord-tenant legislation, including service charges and Section 20 requirements. You will possess eexcellent communication and customer service skills and have the aability to handle complex cases and resolve disputes professionally.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy plus pproficiency in housing management systems and MS Office is desired.
