Are you experienced in Product Development or Production and seeking a new opportunity? we are currently collaborating with one of the most renowned jewellery designers of our time, celebrated for their bold and glamorous fine jewellery.In this exciting role, you will oversee the production processes for exquisite jewellery, homeware, and bespoke pieces, while implementing industry best practices. Collaboration with the Design and Operations teams will be key to bringing our vibrant creations to life.

Job duties include:

  • Ensure deadlines are met for timely product launches and maintain communication with relevant teams such as Sales and Marketing.
  • Implement best practices throughout the production process, working closely with the Design team.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with external suppliers, focusing on negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure production is cost-effective by obtaining the best pricing through tendering, negotiating supplier quotes, and determining minimum order quantities.
  • Oversee stock control by instructing bi-weekly cycle counts of various categories across the business and managing regular (auditable) stock counts in Retail and the vault to ensure accurate availability and adherence to processes.
  • Ensure that the Stock Control policy is regularly updated and disseminated among the team.
  • Keep the "open purchase order log" up to date to monitor progress on incoming products and provide weekly updates on shipment information to the Merchandising and Sales teams.
  • Deliver quarterly KPI reports to management, including supplier mix information to mitigate the risks of overreliance and potential bottlenecks.
  • Manage the Goods Receipt process on SAP to bring articles into stock.
  • Ensure that gem lab reports are completed and that the Sales Team has the necessary information to perform their duties effectively.
  • Support FD to build and manage relationships with HMRC, freight suppliers and internal departments to ensure good flow of information to manage movements as effectively and cost efficiently as possible while staying within regulations.

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience of working with a range of manufacturers and suppliers globally
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Word & Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge using SAP or a similar system
  • Experience working with luxury goods, ideally jewellery but others sector with be considered
  • A solid understanding of the design and development process
