We are currently recruiting for a Senior Reinsurance Claims Adjuster on behalf of our client, a very well established and highly regarded London Market Insurer.
The key purpose of the role is to handle a portfolio of Reinsurance Treaty & Facultative Property and Casualty claims arising from Excess of Loss, Proportional Treaty, and Facultative business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess policy coverage and liability for all claims notifications received.
- Manage and settle claims arising on policies written, ensuring accurate reserve calculations and managing cross market exposures.
- Action Class / ECF and Direct claims advices, process treaty statements and deal with cash calls, expediently and within internal KPIs.
- Provide high quality commentary on relevant movements, highlighting significant notifications, claims trends or developments.
- Undertake Claims Audits / Reviews of Service Providers and other third parties as required.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with the Underwriting, Actuarial and Finance Teams.
- Review and maintain internal databases with relevant claims data.
- Ensure accuracy of data contained within claims system.
- Contribute to enhancements and modifications to claims processes and systems.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience of handling Reinsurance claims in the London Market, with a strong background in Casualty claims, is essential.
- Experience of dealing with Property claims is preferred, but not essential.
- A good working knowledge of Class / ECF2.
