- Undertake site inspections and surveys, to accurately measure and understand project requirements.
- Accurately undertake site drawings and take offs.
- Provide advice and make recommendations based on clients’ needs.
- Understand how to read, interpret and price client specifications.
- Identify cost saving and value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals, including inspection reports & recommendations, pre-qualifying questionaries and specification submissions.
- Undertake and lead project handover meetings.
- Take every opportunity to build strong relationships with our clients including client visits.
- Reporting regularly on your performance against targets.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Robust experience in pitched and flat roof refurbishment/replacement.
- Experience and contacts within the industry.
- Presentable appearance with strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proven record of accomplishment in an Estimating role.
- An understanding of the legal and commercial elements of construction.
- Ability to work within a team, as well as independently.
- To maintain a professional manner when on-site or in an office environment.
- Ambitious, target driven, commercial and seeking a long-term role.
