We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Theatre Practitioner to join our team of highly skilled Theatre Practitioners in a Private Hospital.

The Facility provides a range of complex care services, specialising in oncology, cardiology and neuroscience. From open heart surgery to pioneering techniques to treat cancer, our clinicians work together to provide the best possible care and treatments for our patients. Our staff always go the extra mile in caring for our patients which can be demonstrated by our recent outstanding rating awarded by the CQC.

Duties & Responsibilities As a Senior Cardiac Theatre Practitioner:

  • Support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients.
  • You will have an impressive level of knowledge and will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the theatre setting.
  • You will be an experienced cardiac scrub that can perform Mini invasive cardiac cases and open cases and TAVIs and PCIs.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence based practice
  • Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of all aspect of patient care
  • Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures
  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.

Qualifications/Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced Theatre Nurse, or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration
  • Post graduate experience in Theatres
  • Surgical (scrub) experience
  • Cardiac Theatre Experience
  • Able to perform Mini invasive cardiac cases and open cases, TAVIs and PCIs
