A national online newspaper, investing heavily in its growing SEO team, needs an additional Senior SEO Editor with a strong background in search engine optimisation in a newsroom environment – this could be for a national or regional newspaper, but you MUST have come from a fast paced, digital, newsroom environment. You will report into the Head of SEO, lead others in the SEO team and help drive and implement new SEO strategies across the newsroom.

As well as significant editorial newsroom experience, you need to have worked with a range of SEO tools, think: SEMRush, Google Trends, News Dashboard, etc; be able to spot trends and make recommendations on SEO best practices to optimise stories and drive traffic to the website; analyse and report on what works and what doesn’t to a range of stakeholders; bring your SEO-lead insights to editorial newsroom conferences, and enjoy leading others. This is a full time, office based position, with some shifts and weekends, where training, resources and career prospects are second to none.
