A Senior Workplace Designer job available with one of the UK's leading workplace design and build firms. This award-winning firm has a portfolio of projects that is second-to-none. All applicants must have experience working on commercial workplace projects. A salary of up to 90,000 is available for the right candidate.
With decades of experience, my client is well-established and a leader within their sector. Based in Central London, they offer the design, project management and delivery of high-end workplace interior fit outs across all of England. With some exciting projects in the pipeline, they are now looking for a Senior Workplace Designer to join them on a permanent basis. You will be a strong team player and will have experience developing personal networks, fostering long term client associations and developing new and repeat business opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working directly with clients, analysing and developing briefs and considering their expectations & longer-term needs
- Delivering innovative designs to exceed client expectations
- Working closely with technical designers, project directors, PMs, visualisers and graphic designers across all design stages
- Identifying any potential risks relating to clients' objectives and requirements and accommodating the potential for future change
- Collaborating with all stakeholders and internal project teams to ensure design remains within budget
- Communicating design progress to internal project teams and relevant external parties
- Communicating key aspects of the design to obtain client signoffs at each work stage
- Presenting commercial benefits to clients in a professional and effective manner
- Actively participating in the development of the business.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7 years' experience in commercial D&B design
- Proven experience working on all projects stages
- Good level of technical skill with attention to detail
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proven experience working on pitches and tenders
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior members of staff
- Ability to manage your own time and that of relevant others responsibly and effectively
- Fluent in Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Suite. AutoCAD experience could be considered
- Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
