Job Description:
As a ServiceNow Consultant specialising in Configuration Management Database (CMDB), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and optimising our client's IT infrastructure. This contract position, operating outside IR35, provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's mission.
Responsibilities:
CMDB Implementation and Optimisation:
- Lead the implementation and optimisation of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
ServiceNow Platform Expertise:
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform to design, configure, and customise CMDB modules according to best practices.
- Provide expertise in managing relationships between configuration items and ensuring data accuracy.
Integration and Automation:
- Integrate CMDB with other ServiceNow modules and third-party systems to enhance automation and data consistency.
- Implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline CMDB processes.
Documentation and Training:
- Create comprehensive documentation for CMDB configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and support teams to ensure effective utilisation of CMDB functionalists.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in CMDB processes and implement enhancements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and ServiceNow updates to recommend and implement new features.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Consultant with a focus on CMDB.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing CMDB solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience in integrating CMDB with other ServiceNow modules and external systems.
- Proficient in ServiceNow scripting and automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- ServiceNow certification(s) is a plus.
