The Opportunity

QBE Europe are currently recruit for a ServiceNow ITOM Specialist to join a well-established Platform team. The purpose of this role is to analyse requirements, develop technical solutions, and support releases throughout the development lifecycle. This role involves in-depth knowledge of Discovery, Service Mapping to continue QBE’s ITOM journey. Designing, coding, testing, and documenting to specific standards. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the creation and action of application strategies and roadmaps as well as ensuring that the business stakeholders are actively engaged. As a specialised technician, they will also have a strong focus on maturing and enhancing the application delivery capability, identifying and implementing improvements to applications, process and procedures.

Your new role

  • Work in a team focused environment and collaborate with other SMEs

  • Develop, monitor and maintain the ServiceNow ITOM elements of the platform, following industry best practices.

  • Lead workshops providing ITOM expertise and competently engage with other SMEs

  • Design and configure the ServiceNow Platform and ITOM application

  • Collaborate with product development to influence product strategies

  • Share knowledge with other team members, including technical mentorship.

  • Creating/directing the creation of Application Strategies and roadmaps.

  • Manage ITOM Discovery and ServiceNow broader capabilities within the suite

  • Provide expert consultancy and support in the development of applications and techniques to support business needs, especially in the event of a major incident.

  • Share knowledge on the latest upgrade dates, associated functionality and suggest

  • recommendations for change.

  • Maintain an effective governance regime for the given suite of applications within the IT Application Portfolio.

  • Maintain an effective reporting regime for the given suite of applications within the IT. Application Portfolio that provides relevant information on the individual applications within the given portfolio.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the Application Services team deliver a consistent level of service.

  • Ensure that the given suite of applications within the IT Application Portfolio provides change that meets business need and can be interpreted and understood by stakeholders.

  • Provide governance and assurance to internal and external stakeholders ensuring a clear communication of plan, progress, risks and issues.

  • Prepare accurate and timely information relating to the given suite of applications within the IT Application Portfolio for input to stakeholders

About you

  • Experience on ITOM, with proven track record of Implementation of Discovery and Service Mapping in large multinational organizations

  • Experience with CSDM, Integration Hub, Service Graph Connectors

  • Experience in implementing CMDB solutions and managing CMDB health metrics

  • Experience setting up integrations with technologies such as Operating Systems, Virtualisation, Databases, Clustered Applications, Network Devices and Storage.

  • Experience working with Web Services technologies such as HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST.

  • Strategic mindset and ability to manage workload.
