With 600 employees in London, they are committed to leveraging cutting-edge digital solutions to drive business efficiency and enhance customer experience.As they embark on a major SharePoint upgrade project, they are seeking an experienced Senior SharePoint Administrator to play a key role in modernizing their collaboration and document management platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional looking to take ownership of a high-impact project while also expanding their expertise into Power Platform administration.The Role:As a Senior SharePoint Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and upgrading the company’s SharePoint environment from 2019 to the latest version. This is a customer-facing role, requiring strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders across the business, understand their requirements, and ensure a seamless transition during the upgrade process.You will also take ownership of SharePoint performance, security, governance, and automation, ensuring the platform meets the business’s evolving needs. Additionally, as the company increases its use of Power Platform, you will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in this area, growing into a Power Platform Administrator role.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the upgrade from SharePoint 2019 to the latest version, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal business disruption
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server environments
  • Automate administrative tasks and streamline processes using PowerShell
  • Act as a customer-facing SharePoint expert, working closely with business users to support adoption and best practices
  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and governance in line with industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex SharePoint-related issues, providing high-level support to internal teams
  • Work collaboratively with IT, security, and infrastructure teams to optimize SharePoint performance
  • Support integration of SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services and third-party applications
  • Develop expertise in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), with a view to expanding responsibilities into Power Platform administration
What We’re Looking For:
  • Extensive experience as a SharePoint Administrator, managing SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server (2019 or earlier)
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administrationExperience working in a customer-facing role, engaging with stakeholders and providing SharePoint support
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint security, governance, and compliance best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for SharePoint infrastructure and application issues
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 services and how they integrate with SharePoint
  • Any experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) is a huge plus, as this role will evolve into Power Platform administration
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
