Our client, a leading company in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior SHE Advisor and a SHE Advisor to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. The roles involve working on key TFL projects including A40 Live, Brent Cross, and Gallows Corner, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement and a split of 70/30 office to site. The office is conveniently located in Bank, just 2 minutes from the Tube station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) matters relating to construction and highways projects
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices across all project activities
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Monitoring and auditing SHE performance on-site and in the office
- Providing support and guidance on SHE issues to colleagues and stakeholders
- Participating in site inspections and preparing detailed reports on findings
- Collaborating with project teams to promote a culture of health and safety
- Facilitating training sessions and workshops to enhance SHE awareness
Job Requirements:
- Experience in health and safety roles, preferably within the construction or highways sectors
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective mitigation plans
- Proficiency in preparing comprehensive SHE reports and documentation
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work both in the office and on-site as needed
