The Role
Haringey Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join our Violence, Vulnerability & Exploitation Team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people at high risk of exploitation, violence, or gang involvement.
You'll be delivering intensive outreach and intervention, supporting young people vulnerable to county lines, serious youth violence, child criminal exploitation (CCE), and child sexual exploitation (CSE). You will work collaboratively with partner agencies, education providers, and families to provide consistent, trauma-informed support and help young people move towards safer, more positive futures.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake direct work with young people, offering exit strategies and diversionary support
Conduct risk assessments and create safety plans
Support engagement in education, training, or employment
Work jointly with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated safeguarding responses
Advocate for vulnerable young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making
About You
You are a qualified Social Worker with experience working with adolescents in complex and high-risk contexts. You are creative, resilient, and able to build trusting relationships with young people who may be wary of services. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are driven by a strong commitment to safeguarding and social justice.
