Key Responsibilities

  • Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all articles are polished and free of errors, refining grammar, tone, and style while maintaining DisruptionBanking's distinctive voice.
  • Fact-Checking: Verify the accuracy of information, data, and sources to uphold journalistic integrity.
  • SEO Basics: Learn and apply SEO principles to optimize articles for search engines using tools like Google Analytics and SEMRush.
  • Content Coordination: Help manage the workflow of articles, liaising with writers, the Features Editor, and the design team to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative Feedback: Work with the Features Editor to provide constructive feedback to contributors, improving content quality.
  • Page Layout & Design Support: Assist with coordinating layouts, visuals, and treatments to create engaging content.
  • Special Features Assistance: Contribute ideas for special features and help the team forward-plan for larger projects.
  • Press Release Editing: Adapt press releases into reader-friendly content that resonates with our audience.

Requirements

  • A degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
  • Some experience in editing, writing, or publishing, such as an internship or student media role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of grammar and syntax.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about SEO tools (e.g., SEMRush, Google Analytics) and digital publishing.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for finance, technology, or global business trends is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms or digital publishing is advantageous but not required.
  • Willingness to work two days a week in our Canary Wharf office.
