Sustainability Lead

SearchTech are working closely with a longstanding client to offer an exclusive opportunity to become their Sustainability champion and lead our client's business strategy forward through the lens of ESG.

We believe this position is a rare gem offering the chance to help craft a sustainability strategy, implement individual elements and guide the business leadership through the landscape over the coming years. Providing guidance and support the team of 3 in environmental, social and sustainability this role would suite someone ready to take on such a challenge and use their previous experience to guide an organisation perfectly placed at the outset of their development journey.

As an independently owned recycling and reprocessing business, predominantly servicing the South East of England, our client already does a lot to improve the environment whilst their charitable trust and social programmes have been improving lives in the community for years, putting this together they are well positioned to create an enviable ESG/CSR Programme.

With this in mind, they are looking for a hands-on Sustainability Manager with a keen interest in developing their sustainability-based partnerships and collaborations across the construction and materials sector, their existing sustainability programme will be further developed to enable clear communication, reporting and collaboration with stakeholders. Previous experience of developing carbon emissions calculations and reporting across Scope 1,2,3 is required.

If you enjoy building B2B partnerships around the Sustainability agenda and bringing people together as a force for good, this could be the role you’d excel in. Whether it be organising events, attending conferences, or opening up new dialogue to investigate opportunities, this role offers the chance to explore those possibilities whilst driving the internal business forward across social and sustainability initiatives.

With an expansion programme in operation you will also help define ongoing strategy and identify sustainability opportunities and risks in the existing business and its future endeavours.

Covering a number of sites/assets across the London area the role is predominantly based in N West London- good connection to this locale is needed.
