Syndicate Reserving Manager sought by a top London Market insurer. Our client are looking for a post-qualified Reserving Actuary with strong commercial and/or reinsurance lines experience to lead their Syndicate Reporting team as a Syndicate Reserving Manager.
Our client are looking for an experienced Syndicate Reserving Manager to manage the Syndicate Reporting Team with collating the results of the quarterly reserving cycle for all business written on Syndicate paper, from Lloyd's to international reinsurance, and report business performance to the reserving committee.
Responsibilities of the Syndicate Reserving Manager:
- Lead on Lloyds reserving related deliverables including Lloyds Principles assessment, production of Solvency 2 Technical provisions and Actuarial Function reports, Lloyds requests and queries on reserving matters
- Ensure the quarterly reporting to external LPT providers; involving calculating the LPT positions and reporting on results of external reinsurance agreements to relevant third parties.
- Manage the Syndicate Reserving Team with the delivery of ad-hoc projects.
- Contribute to the enhancement of existing processes to improve efficiency of output delivery.
Key Experience of the Syndicate Reserving Manager:
- Ideally 8+ years of technical Reserving experience, preferably across commercial and/or reinsurance lines.
- IFoA qualified Actuary (or equivalent).
- Demonstratable process improvement experience.
- Knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, and Excel desired.
